It all started with one simple wish: to give my son the gift of language and culture while living far from home. Living abroad  I know just how many challenges come with raising a bilingual — or even multilingual — child. I want my son to grow up connected to our home languages and cultures, but I also know how hard it can be to create those opportunities, especially away from family. That’s why I welcome every chance to surround him with Italian and Spanish, and why I love connecting with other families on the same journey. Little ones learn through repetition and real-world experience — and that’s exactly what Piccoli Explorers is all about! For us, the cultural side is just as important as the language. Alongside our playful classes and story time sessions, we also host seasonal events that celebrate the wonderful traditions that shaped our childhoods.

The inspiration for Piccoli Explorers began when my son was just a few months old. I joined a baby class, and it became a beautiful bonding time for us — and a much-needed chance for me to meet other parents during a time when I often felt isolated on maternity leave. That simple but powerful experience planted the seed for creating a space where both children and parents could connect, play, learn, and grow together while exploring a new language.

My hope is to build a warm, welcoming community where little explorers — and their grown-ups — can share experiences, make memories, and support each other on this bilingual adventure.
