About Us
Hi, I’m Simone — proud mum to my sweet 3-year-old son, and the founder of Piccoli Explorers!
Originally from Italy, I’ve been calling the UK home for the past 14 years. With a background in languages and education, I’ve always believed in the power of connection — whether through words, travel, or study. I currently work as an Inclusion Manager in the SEND department at a secondary school, where I support young people in overcoming barriers and creating opportunities for success. My passion for education and inclusion goes hand-in-hand with my love of languages, which started early in life as I was raised bilingual in French and Italian.
When I became a parent, I knew I wanted my son to grow up with the same strong connection to his roots — but raising a bilingual child while living abroad comes with its challenges. That’s what inspired Piccoli Explorers — a bilingual parent-and-child group designed to help families explore Italian together through music, play, and storytelling, while building friendships and celebrating cultural traditions.
At Piccoli Explorers, our goal is to create a fun, inclusive space where little ones can develop a love for language and culture — and parents can find support, connection, and community along the way.
I can’t wait to welcome you and your Piccoli Explorers on this journey!
